Abstract
We used the laser induced fluorescence (LIF) method to examine the structure of 54 lines of Pr I in a visible orange-red region 598.2-655.5â¯nm. A discharge tube with hollow cathode was the source of free Pr atoms. The LIF spectra were recorded in the presence of â¯ââ¯800 G magnetic field produced by a permanent magnet. Measurements were performed for two states of linear polarization of the laser beam. We determined Landé gJ factors for 42 levels (19 even and 23 odd) of Pr I for the first time and we re-analyzed the gJ values and hyperfine structure (hfs) data for many other levels.
