Abstract
⺠New criterion to distinguish voicing in fricatives from that of contextual vowels in VCV tokens. ⺠Criterion based on oral airflow oscillation amplitude alone. ⺠Voicing mode in fricatives has properties distinct from the voicing of the contextual vowels. ⺠Oral airflow oscillation amplitude reduces on average by 70% between vowels and fricative.
