Abstract
In this paper we have presented an analogy between raising the temperature of isolated ferroelectric capacitor and adding a dielectric material in series to ferroelectric capacitor. This analogy exists because of dependence of anisotropy constant α on temperature. Anisotropy constant (|α|) increases up to Curie temperature and it starts decreasing above Curie temperature. Adding a dielectric in series with ferroelectric capacitor and raising the temperature of isolated ferroelectric capacitor provides similar effect, as both phenomena increases the anisotropy constant of ferroelectric material. Adding dielectric increases the anisotropy constant by a factor of 1/CD and raising the temperature increases it by α0T. Further this analogy is studied in terms of charge versus voltage, energy landscape, dQF/dt versus QF and capacitance versus charge characteristics.
