Abstract
Tomography revealed dilatation of the intestinal loops and thickening of the colon walls; the coexistence of these two findings suggested a lymphoproliferative process. The tumour, ileum fragment and colon were surgically removed; these were adherent to the serosal fibro-adipose tissue. Microscopically, abundant polymorphonuclear infiltrate and grains of bacteria compatible with Actinomyces spp.were seen.
