Abstract
The nutritional risk of the athlete is a field reality. It is both quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative, because it should bring the necessary calories to the body in the effort and outside the effort. This is the notion of energy availability, the energy used for the effort being diverted from other vital functions. Qualitative, because all the systems of the organism are dependent on the contribution of the different micronutrients and antioxidants, for both being healthy and able to perform.
