Abstract
The prediction of the injury risk in sport practitioners requires validated tools. We will define the notion of “tools” as “screening tests” as it includes various dimensions such as the measuring devices, the test conditions, the expertise of the operators… It will be, indeed, the addition of these different factors, which will determine the overall quality of a test. Screening protocols for injury first require the identification of risk factors and, in second time, the predictive value of these risk factors. Furthermore, the chosen screening protocols should be reproducible between sessions to allow a follow-up of the athlete and, if possible, reproducible between operators and between evaluation centers. The development of screening tools requires a large amount of work but is essential to ensure an efficient management of the injury risk of sport practitioners.
