Abstract
Eight new platinum(II) complexes Pt1-Pt8 with substituted 3â(2â²âbenzimidazolyl) coumarins were synthesized and characterized. Pt1 is a telomerase inhibitor targeting c-myc promoter elements and causes mitochondrial dysfunction in the following order: Pt1â¯>â¯Pt2â¯>â¯Pt3.276
