Polish terms for 'blue' in the perspective of Vantage Theory

The most intriguing relationships are those between niebieski and błękitny because the terms share the prototypical reference, i.e. the sky. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how Vantage Theory (VT) may be useful in explaining these relationships. A proposal is made to include positive connotations in the vantage model of błękitny. The paper also investigates whether the VT findings corroborate other findings such as the results of a questionnaire whose aim was to examine the understanding of the terms for different shades of blue.
