Abstract
The article reconstructs the development of mysticism in Aigi's works – both as a theme and a poetic form – from the perspective of structural hermeneutics and “poetics of knowledge”. The course of his mystical path shows the lyrical subject as a wise man whose path leads from mystical quest through recognition of the conditio humana and the limited nature of mystical experiences to Christian mysticism of silent prayer.
