Abstract

The authors highlight some aspects of Aleksandr Mikhailovich Kondratov’s (1937-1993) creative activities. Special attention is given to judgements about Kondratov’s work by Joseph Brodsky, Lev Losev and the scholars V. Al’fonsov and M.L. Gasparov. A survey of Kondratov’s works and plans for their publication – and of a series of both Russian and world literature – drafted by himself, is reproduced here.In addition to a brief assessment of some aspects of his poetics the article provides introductory information about Kondratov’s works published in the present issue.
