Abstract
In 1938 Andrei Platonovʼs son Platon was arrested by the NKVD. In the present article the author explores to which extent this tragic event is reflected in Platonovʼs story ‘Po nebu polunochi’ (‘In the Midnight Sky’) and also discusses the role of German fascism and Stalinism in connection with this story.
