Abstract
This is a new publication of one of the earliest philosophical studies about Andrei Platonov, written by an unknown author under the pseudonym S. Vedrukhin and published in the Samizdat magazine Tridtsatʼ semʼ/37 (Thirty seven/37; Leningrad 1979). The text provides a striking example of close reading in a context of Heidegger and French Existentialism and fills a gap in the history of Platonov studies in the U.S.S.R.
