Abstract
The paper deals with some aspects of the “discourse of love” in Russian poetry of the Silver Age, in particular with regard to the description of the “urban woman”. There are clear parallels between the methods employed for this imaginary figure as developed by the Russian Symbolists Blok and Brjusov and their French predecessor Baudelaire.
