Abstract
The article discusses some particular features of the “zaumnyj” (transrational) work of Ry Nikonova and Sergej Sigej. The central problem is how to grasp intuitively transrational texts, the possibility or impossibility to decipher such texts. Various approaches are suggested, which may lead to an “understanding” of the transformational poetics of the authors. It turns out that understanding is only possible if one becomes totally immersed in the text and can make free associations. This challenges the hypothesis of the inaccessibility of avant-gardist writing. Meaning originates on the level of the text in its entirety. Moreover, the text becomes a part of the general avant-garde paradigm, both diachronically and synchronically.
