Abstract
Attitudes of higher education teachers play a significant role in the inclusion process of students with disabilities. Our investigation of the attitudes of the academic personnel of Babes-Bolyai University (Romania) indicates an overall positive attitude towards disabilities, a low level of knowledge regarding the special needs of students and a low level of familiarity with the national and university laws and regulations concerning accessibility in higher education. The need for extensive training regarding disabilities was identified in our sample, as well as a high level of availability of the academic personnel to take part in such type of programs.
