Abstract
“Tactical urbanism” is a low cost - temporary change approach to the urban environment that can act as a pop-up solution for Cairo's built environment. Moreover, there were many case studies that offered a domestic solution for local planning challenges with short-term action for long-term change where (low risk / high reward) urban change can be happened. The aim of this paper is to highlight the unplanned or traditional practices that have been carried out by inhabitants, entities or initiatives, which carries out the principles of “Tactical Urbanism”, and most of these cases are unprompted practices that carried out spontaneously.
