The survival and sustainability are the two “buzz” words in management relevant to today's globalized business scenario. The focus is practically on long term success to be achieved strategically in a balanced manner integrating perspectives in addition to traditional financial measures. The envisaged achievement therefore needs clear cut objectives with definite measures, targets and initiatives. In doing so vision and strategy centric four perspectives like financial (F), customer (C), learning & growth (L&G) and internal business process (IBP) to exist. The carried out research therefore primarily concentrated in identifying factors responsible for performance in 360 degree manner i.e. covering four groups of stakeholders like; exporter, importer, employees and rest as respondents who proposed measures for the factors in four different action groups like; continuation desired, improvement needed, experimentation sought and challenges for sustainability. The factors have been analyzed to facilitate grouping and codification. The scope to regroup the key factors as per abovementioned strategic centric perspectives has been experimented and reported. Further, the opportunity to manage the abovementioned strategy also has been experimented to demonstrate the balanced score card. The performance measurement and management thus involves sustainable operation management technique and strategic tool which will enable companies concerned in general and Indian handmade carpet industry in particular to transform themselves from traditional financial measures in building the capabilities they would need for future growth.
