Abstract

The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of the issues related to the teaching of statistics common in France and other European countries. The authors distinguish between macrodidactical and microdidactical factors and define the peculiar features of the didactical system at work in the teaching of statistics. These features allow for the complex nature of the teaching of statistics to a growing audience.
