Abstract

Continuous improvement in the purchasing process increased the quality of project performance. Hence, clients’ participation in the purchasing process is essential because it influence the clients’ budget and satisfaction and the quality of construction products. This research attempts to identify the clients’ involvement in the purchasing process and the impact factor that enhancing the quality of construction environment. A preliminary survey was done among the respondents form Malaysian construction companies. The results indicate that clients does involve in certain purchasing process activities and indirectly give impact to the quality of construction environment.
