Abstract
The objective of this paper is to explore how translation professionals use and perceive tools, especially generic tools such as Google and Wikipedia, during the translation process. With a qualitative approach, two focus groups sessions were held with the participation of a total of five Spanish speaking translation professionals. The subjects reported using a wide variety of tools –with Google and Wikipedia being among the most popular– to solve translation difficulties.
