Abstract

As internationalization and globalization in higher education intensifies, there are ever increasing numbers of students who travel beyond their own country's borders to study. The purpose of this article is to survey and compare the difficulties, particularly the language one, which the Czech ERASMUS students have while studying abroad. This is done with the help of online questionnaires and focus interviews. In conclusion, the author suggests strategies which can help remove these difficulties.
