Abstract

IntroductionThis study aims to compare the dimensions of perfectionism and social support in students in study year 2010.MethodThrough cluster sampling of the 8 eight faculties of Allameh Tabatabai University three colleges and 300 students (male-female) were randomly selected. The subjects completed the questionnaires of perfectionism dimensions (identity and Felt, 1991); social support (Wax, Phillips, Holly, Thompson, Williams and Stewart, 1986) and Bersu academic burnout (1997). The data were analyzed using independent t statistics.ResultsThe results showed that social support is high in students with low academic burnout than students with high burnout.ConclusionsPerfectionism is high in students with low academic burnout than students with high academic burnout.
