The So Called National Basketball League

This research aims to propose the best solutions for the development of Romanian basketball providing a brief analysis of the National Basketball League from the perspective of national interest.We propose to consider some aspects characterizing male teams in the league during the competitive years 2011-2012 and 2012-2013, based on the assumption that Romanian players cannot get results in prestigious international competitions because there is no Romanian basketball championship to speak of for them to participate in.Besides analyzing the main parameters of the basketball championship game, we will try to show that the participants in the national basketball championship are Romanians only in a proportion of 20%. Thus, the national interest and good results in prestigious international competitions, as was assumed by RBF, cannot be met by the senior national team of Romania, that is made up from players who took part in our national championship.
