Abstract
Research indicates that throughout the last thirty years most of gifted students in the USA receive basic education in the regular middle schools. During this period a number of strategies have been developed to meet the unique academic needs and interests of high-ability American learners.The purpose of this paper is to select the most wife-spread practices and classify them according to the degree of inclusion of gifted and talented students into the mainstream so that the results could be applied worldwide.
