Abstract

Communication difficulties are common characteristics associated with autism spectrum disorders. The purpose of this article is to evaluate communication skills for a 2.8 years old girl diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder using the Communication Matrix and to underline the connection of the assessment with the therapeutic field by proposing new objective for the therapy intervention program. Case-study is the research method used and the Communication Matrix as main assessment tool. The collected data were used for generating the Communication Matrix profile, this ensuring the researchers the possibility of establishing future therapueutic goals.
