Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of training skills of optimism on fostering emotional intelligence of the males in education & improvement centre in Zahedan. A full experimental program was used in this study. It contains two random groups with pre and posttests. Questionnaire of emotional intelligence was used in order to gather data. Sample group was chosen from mentioned population (male members of education & improvement centre in Zahedan) and was divided in to two subgroups by testable matching method and were randomly placed in control and experiment groups. Sample group includes 61 people. Experimental plan was implemented in 10 sessions and posttest was done one month after completing sessions. Results were analyzed by independent samples t-test. Study findings showed that training optimism approaches is effective on promoting emotional intelligence. So it is recommended that training optimism approaches in promoting emotional intelligence is included in educative programs of centers related to criminal adolescents.
