Abstract

The levels of satisfaction of the families who participate in an implementation of the Family Competence Program are analyzed. The method consists on a cross-sectional descriptive study, with personal interview. A satisfaction evaluation scale is applied, combined with registry instruments to assess characteristics and participation in the program. 19 implementations of the program are developed in social care departments of municipalities of the Balearics (Spain) between 2008 and 2010. The relation among the perception of the program quality, the compromise of the educators and achieved results is confirmed. Main causes of dissatisfaction are due to accessibility problems and duration of the program, while participants acknowledge a high satisfaction level with the professionals, underlining kindness and competence.
