Abstract

Young journalists in Romania face difficult labor conditions in media institutions, in the context of the concentration of media ownership in very few hands and of a post-communist media lacking a tradition of regulation and journalistic standards. This paper will focus on the working conditions of young Romanian journalists in the Internet era. The research is based on 30 semi- structured interviews related to work procedures, wages, professional standards, and digital work. Previous research work carried out on Romanian journalists will be also taken into consideration.
