Abstract
The paper at hand deals with a new corpus of digital texts, the Austrian Media Corpus, which is being created at the Institute for Corpus Linguistics and Text Technology of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna. After presenting some important facts and figures of this collection of digital media texts, the paper discusses the challenges involved in dealing with such large amounts of data and proposes some technical solutions.
