Abstract
The present study is focused on highlighting gender differences in the self-perception of positive and negative emotions among Romanian high school students. Method: The participants were 152 high school students from a theoretical high school in Bucharest, age between 16 and 18 years old. The instruments: BARS describing the high school students self- perceived positive and negative emotions. By testing the hypotheses with the t test we have shown that school girls positive emotions self-perception is statistically significant higher than high school boys self-perception (7.43>6.52; p<0.05) and school girls negative emotions self-perception is also statistically significant higher than high school boys self-perception (5.40>4.41; p<0.05).
