The Assessment of Corporate Social Risk in a Romanian Context

In this paper we intend to investigate the level of exposure and the determinants of a new type of risk that companies have t o deal with, that is social risk. For this purpose, we collect data for a sample of Romanian listed companies for the years 2009-2010 and analyze it using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings of this paper suggest that Romanian sampled companies are exposed to a relatively high level of risk that varies with company's size and its industry.
