Abstract
The study that we conducted with students in secondary education in Morocco was aimed at:- Revealing some of students’ misconceptions relating to physical and chemical transformation in general, and especially the concept of redox-Check if students use their knowledge appropriately and if they can recognize redox phenomena in everyday life and distinguish it from other chemical transformations, such as acid-base reactions, precipitation, dissolution and even the physical transformations.-Check if the basic concepts constitute an obstacle to the understanding of the model when they are not assimilated by the students. -Propose a didactic approach to contribute to the improvement of the teaching of the concept of redox in high school.
