Abstract
This paper provides a brief overview about Children, Youth and Environments (CYE) issues that should be of utmost concern to developing countries, which aspire to become a developed nation. It emphasised about the significance of CYE, the reasons why it matters for developing countries, lessons that can be learnt from the challenges faced by developed countries, in particular within the Asia Pacific region, and on initiatives and research toolkits that can be replicated locally in the research agenda as preparation by the developing countries en route in achieving the developed country status.
