Abstract

This session reports on a study that aimed to explore the benefits of conducting drama activities outdoors. Apart from identifying suitable activities that students believe to be effective in outdoor settings, the study also examined the problems involved in the carrying out of such activities. The study was carried out among Pre TESL students of UiTM Pahang, Kuantan Campus. These students were selected to respond to the questionnaire distributed to them after taking part in drama activities in the outdoor environments. The session will present the overall results of the study, revealing the beneficial effects of carrying drama activities outdoors as well as some of the problems of conducting drama activities in outdoor environments. It will also present some suitable activities that students believe to be suitable outdoors such as drama games and short drama.
