Abstract
The abstractedness of children by one or both parents, left to work abroad, generates dysfunctions both in the behavioral and emotional area. Depending on the duration of the absence there can be registered a series of problems related to the assurance of child's specific needs and also the risk of appearance of some intellectual deficiencies and/or emotional and behavioral disorders. In such cases the intervention of the specialist psychologist is not only necessary but mandatory. The knowledge of some predictive models for the maladjustment behavior of this category of children becomes especially useful for the organization and development of support interventions.
