In accounting, computer is used as a supportive element since package programs are used in accounting teaching. While teaching the programs students are expected to have basic computer skills without looking their educational background. They have difficulty in adaptation of the course because of lack of basic computer skills. For that reason it is hard to understand that failure stems from lack of accounting information or lack of computer skills. This paper aims to understand that students have enough educational background in computer area and that knowledge sufficient for accounting courses. The samples of study comprised of 66 participants are university students in accounting information systems department. The data were collected through a questionnaire.
