Evaluation of tourism alternatives in the national park of Dilek Peninsula Büyük Menderes delta

National Park of Dilek Peninsula Büyük Menderes Delta which is 27.675 ha. located in the southwest of Aydın. North of the area is Dilek Mount and south are the wetlands. The peninsula has a diverse geographical structure together with rich plant diversity. Excessive visitor number in the Park in summer months is above the carrying capacity which causes pollution, deterioration and management problems.It was concluded in the study that alternative tourism strategies should be developed for the Park. Proposals were made to minimize the pressures and deteriorations in the coastal areas by activating the potentials for alternative tourism activities.
