Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate how well gender, age, education, and income predicted the attitudes of people towards child abuse. The sample comprised 65 participants between the ages of 23 and 57 (M = 32. 75, SD = 9, 27), from three cities of Turkey (Ankara, Ãankırı, Mardin). They were recruited via convenient sampling. In order to test the prediction of the study, multiple regression analyses were conducted. The results indicated that the attitudes of people towards child abuse were significantly predicted by the age and income variables. The findings were discussed in light of the literature.
