Abstract

In Malaysian schools the learning of science does not reflect the nature of science. An instructional module which could address this problem is needed. A developmental research approach was used to design a collaborative mLearning module for a topic in science. Data from the analysis phase indicated that discussion forums and text messaging with mobiles could be used as students were already using these tools. The module was designed and then evaluated by experts for further improvements. The findings indicate that a collaborative mLearning module could be used for teaching science.
