Abstract
The glycerol aqueous solution formulated with ricinoleic acid based ionic liquid exhibits excellent anticorrosion and lubricating properties. The main mechanism is that the ionic liquid is absorbed preferentially onto metal surface and forms a stable absorbed layer avoiding serious wear and corrosion.324
