Abstract
► We model impatience of requests over a WDM network by a queue with working vacations. ► We compare two types of working vacations, single (SWV) and multiple (MWV). ► Closed form solutions are obtained for various system performance measures. ► Without impatience, MWV performs better than SWV with respect to mean queue lengths. ► With impatience, there is no definite conclusion.
