Abstract
This study considers the echelon-stock (R,nT)(R,nT) policy for a single-item, two-stage serial inventory system. The main contribution is to first provide a method to exactly evaluate the expected inventory related cost and subsequently develop an approach to identify an optimal solution to minimize the long-run system cost.
