The assessment of the level of experts in group-decision analysis forms an important research topic. This article proposes a factor score method (FAM) for obtaining a ranking of the assessment levels of experts in group-decision analysis. The proposed FAM can be used to obtain a ranking of the assessment levels of experts from difference preference relations, where fuzzy preference relations, utility function, preference ordering of the alternatives, multiplicative preference relations and linguistic preference relations, if any, are transformed into fuzzy preference relations through transformation technique proposed. Theorems and algorithm related to the transformation technique are developed. A numerical example is examined to illustrate the applications of the FAM and its advantages.
