Abstract
We consider inference on the difference in probability of success from matched binary pairs. The key contribution is a previously unrecognised restriction on the nuisance parameter for a given value of the interest parameter, under the mild assumption that the process of matching induced a non-negative correlation between the paired binary responses. This necessarily results in smaller P-values and tighter confidence bounds.
