Abstract
⺠Intermittent hemodialysis is a form of renal replacement therapy. ⺠Clinicians prefer to use synthetic dialyzers because of the efficient removal of uremic toxins. ⺠Our data revealed strong interaction of synthetic dialyzer materials with plasma proteins ⺠This interaction results in plasma protein removal and membrane occlusion.
