Abstract
⺠Efficient and robust model of the methane emission from sedge-grass marsh is given. ⺠Infinite moving average process with Pareto tailed exceedances is used. ⺠Data are possessing a clear heavy-tail pattern in residuals. ⺠Robustness is important since outliers can easily occur in a methane emission data. ⺠Proof of the weak consistency of t-Hill estimator for dependent data is given.
