Abstract
Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a polymer with unique hydrophilicity and electrical neutrality, and well known of significant material to resist protein adsorption. In this study, we reviewed the researches on the surface modification of PGE on various substrates in recent years including PEG structures analysis and characteristics, theoretic interpretation of adsorption resistance mechanism, and PEG modification strategies on hydrophobic surfaces. Also we look forward to its development prospects.
