Abstract
The proteomes of CNS hemangioblastoma (HB) cells and human nerve cells were analyzed with online HPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap mass spectrometry. After searching the database, 647 proteins of HB cells and 531 proteins of human nerve cells were identified. A label-free half-quantitative analysis was performed on those two proteomes. Expression levels of vimentin, 14-3-3 epsilon protein, and carbonic anhydrase II (CA II) were significantly changed in HB cells. The proteome results were also validated with immunohistochemical staining. The results demonstrate that our methods identify differences in proteomic profiles of HB samples and have an important implication for the design biomarker studies on CNS HB.
