Abstract

In this experiment, the electrochemical and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) intensities of a Ru(bpy)32+-yswlpm system at an Au electrode were studied at a sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) concentration of 0.3125 mM. The results showed that compared with the absence of SDS, the ECL intensity was 3-fold higher at the Au electrode. On this basis, an ECL method was established for efficient and simple determination of the concentration of Verapamil hydrochloride. Under optimum experimental conditions, the enhanced ECL intensities had a good linear relationship to the concentration of Verapamil hydrochloride in the range 1.0 × 10−4-1.0 × 10−7 M, and a linear regression equation was obtained as folows:I = 40.389 × 106C + 232.64 (r = 0.9958), and the detection limit for yswlpm was 5.20 × 10−10 M. The RSD obtained from five repeated experiments at a concentration of 1.0 × 10−5 M was 3.1%. The results of the recovery test were in the range 98.7%-106.5%, and the RSD (n = 5) was 3.0%.
