Abstract
Two coated composite chiral stationary phases (CSPs) were prepared using tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) of cellulose (CDMPC) and amylose (ADMPC) by coating the corresponding derivatives onto 3-aminopropyl silica gel separately and then mixing or by coating the mixed derivatives onto silica gel. The CSPs containing only CDMPC or ADMPC were also prepared for comparison. The mixing method does not significantly influence the enantioselectivities. The composite CSPs generally show chiral recognition abilities that are intermediate between those of the two individual phases, whereas some racemates were poorer and simultaneously, one pair of racemates were better resolved on the composite CSPs.
